Miles Edgeworth [ ACE ATTORNEY ]

The man I've been partners with for the longest time now. At first, our partnership felt like something made on a whim. But after a while, it had felt like a deeper bond... like brotherhood. To me, Edgeworth is like a younger brother I've grown to trust. His strong mind complements the physical force I supply him with. That same strong mind also helps me control the Black Blood that now runs through my veins. With him, I'm confident that we can make it to a Deathscythe level.

Carmine Zuigiber "War" [ GOOD OMENS ]		Sakuya Haibara [ FATAL FRAME IV ]
	There was something about her that reminded me both of the Goddess and the Calamity. However, she was the sun of my life, the woman who warms me and burns through me at the same time. There will never be another like her.		If Carmine was the sun, then Sakuya was the moon: calming and mystical. It was difficult to not fall for her after I lost Carmine. Although I yearned for her heat and the wild fire that almost threatened to consume me, I found solace in Sakuya's silence and coolness. But she was gone all too fast, like the melody of a windchime.

	My friend, do you fly away now to a world that abhors you and I? Now, those words from LOVELESS hold so much meaning now. Sephiroth, why BREW take you away...?		Once upon a time, there was a young blond trooper who was caught and bottled up, his body infused with the cells of the perfect one. I once felt coldness towards you, a belief that you were not good enough to wield one of Shinra's greatest SOLDIERs as your weapon. But over time, you have proven me wrong. I hold a great respect for you now.
Zack Fair		Kadaj
	Angeal's puppy. I have encountered him twice in this world. In both times, he didn't take well to my presence. Before he left the second time, though, I was able to open up a little more to him while I was residing in his quarters. There is a familiarity in the way he speaks and acts. Among those who come from my world, thus far, I am the most comfortable with him. I still miss him.		A part of Sephiroth. A remnant. I did not find out everything about him, but if there was something to be said about him, he was certainly a danger to everyone. He was like all of madness personified. I kept my distance from him. And I am thankful that BREW took him away.
Tseng		Angeal Hewley
	Once upon a time, we set aside our differences and almost became partners.		For a moment, I thought I would have had a shot at having my old friendships back: Sephiroth, Angeal, and I. But it seems that BREW only wants me to keep one close friend from back home. Better one than none, I'd say. And... Angeal's patience and forgiveness is a comfort to have, I must admit.

The Watch

Vergil [ DEVIL MAY CRY ]		Date Masamune [ SENGOKU BASARA ]
	The first Meister I had officially partnered with. Orginally, I was choosing between him and the samurai from Oshu, Date Masamune. The breaking of our partnership was all for the best. Still, I looked to him with utmost respect as a fellow swordsman until he left.		In our first encounter in person, there were two things he reminded me of. First was of Fair, Angeal's student. The second was of Sephiroth's blade, for obvious reasons. In time, though, he proved to be so much more than I first expected of him.
Dante [ DEVIL MAY CRY ]		Roy Mustang [ FULL METAL ALCHEMIST ]
	Amusingly, our conversations began all because of our tastes in fashion. Later on, I thought of him as a kind of brute. But further into our conversations, I found him to be... quite the opposite of his twin brother and a man with my best interests at heart. Save for poetry. I doubt he can understand poetry. Even so, he was once the closest friend I ever had.		He was once the Commander of the Watch. A man worthy of respect for the dedication he puts into this service. It almost puts me to shame as a commander myself. I respected him well enough to follow his orders without question. After all, protecting this city may very well be in line with the Goddess' wishes.
Hyuuga Neji [ NARUTO ]		Rock Lee [ NARUTO ]
	The current Commander of the Watch. Despite his age, I trust him completely. He was once my subordinate too, when I was a Zone Leader with Vergil. He is a very effective force on the field, and I feel honored to be working with him.		I met Lee a long time ago when I was still new to Death City. However, I don't think he remembers that. Anyway, there is still much I need to know about him. But I always feel this incredibly positive energy radiating from him... it must be from all those hugs he gives at Morning Training.
Toph Bei Fong [ AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER ]		Temeraire [ TEMERAIRE ]
	A spirited young woman who was once my subordinate in the Watch. When she left, she put her dog, Mei, in my care. I will always remember her. And I do miss her from time to time.		A noble dragon who shared a space in the sky with me once. I wish he had stayed longer so we could have spoken more. I imagine we both had much to share about battles and wars from our respective worlds.
Aqua [ KINGDOM HEARTS ]		Auron [ FINAL FANTASY X ]
	Another one of my former subordinates. She has been doing well as a Zone Leader alongside myself. I try to flirt with her from time to time. I find her cute. But I suppose it would never work out.		Drinking buddy and fellow man who is past his thirties. By the goddess, we are old, old men. But he was great company while it lasted.

The Agency

Near [ DEATH NOTE ]		Mello [ DEATH NOTE ]
	For a while, I acted as a bodyguard for this detective who now words for the Kuzunoha Detective Agency. Even after our contract had been severed, I still find myself meeting him from time to time (at Deathbucks), if only to discuss the little things in life. He is a friend. A dearly trusted friend. Trusted enough to know my favorite drink at Deathbucks (a grande caramel macchiato with a pump of vanilla and an extra expresso shot).		This man, I used to tease by flirting with his partner. Well, now we're more comfortable around each other. Although I do miss getting a kick out of him by playing with Near.
Re-l Mayer [ ERGO PROXY ]		Katsuragi Yako [ MAJIN TANTEI NOGAMI NEURO ]
	I am not going to lie. She is gorgeous. Probably my favorite person to watch at the office. That was... well, until she went away. A pity, really.		The best pastry chef in all of Death City. I am not going to lie about this. Her baked things are the best and I will not settle for anything other than her snacks while I am at the office.

Shibusen

Black★Star		Tsubaki Nakatsukasa
	I remember encountering him in battle-- only for the briefest moment as I snapped out of my madness and gathered Carmine's unconscious body from the ground. A strong opponent. Whether or not I must face him again, he serves as a reminder that we must become stronger.		Black★Star's partner. I am unsure of what to think of her aside from that.

	She is warm like the sun. But fluffier. She gets along well with my dogs.		Despite the awkwardness he had come into the city with, and the softness of his speech, I believe he truly does have the blood of kings running through him. He simply had not yet recognized his full potential as one. Once upon a time, I loved this prince. I might have told him so if he had stayed in the city a little longer.
