I'm on the subway now heading in that direction, but I thought I would call you first.

[Angeal pauses and lowers his voice. They...had not quite kept Genesis in the loop with things.]

Genesis... I know it could be nothing, but about a week ago, a little more, Sephiroth asked me to donate blood to him for testing.

[recitings]

[Okay. Now a sense of dread was starting to creep up on Genesis. He stops taking his "breakfast" and moves back to his room to dress up for the cold. He puts the PHS on speakerphone.]

Angeal. This can't just be nothing. Sephiroth... Sephiroth has no idea of his origins. Not like you and I already do.

[mentors]

He doesn't?

[Angeal is the furthest behind in them all, unknowing of what had happened- until he had come here, he had even thought Genesis had died a few hours before him, forced by the hand of his student.]

...We'll get him though it, Gen.

[recitings]

He doesn't know everything.

[He takes a deep breath. He knew the time would come to break the information in.]

He has no idea that he is less human than you and I actually are.

[mentors]

[that word, the one he so hates and has applied to himself, Monster, floats in the back of his head. Just as quickly, he shakes it away.]

... Tell me more.

[recitings]

Remember that project we were born from? Project G? Apparently Sephiroth was under Project S, which implemented JENOVA cells into the embryo without going through another human host first. Our cells were originally from your mother.

Sephiroth's are pure, straight from the source-- JENOVA herself. This makes him less human and closer to her than you and I are.

[mentors]

So, when he says JENOVA is the name of his mother... She is the source.

[He's at the stop for the baseball diamond now, and heads to look for one of the greeters.]

[recitings]

[He nods.]

That is correct.

[He had finished dressing now, and has turned off the speakerphone.]

[mentors]

[He doesn't speak directly to Genesis for the next few minutes, but leaves the NV on as he talks to one of the greeters, thanking them for their time and walking away before he puts it back to his ear.]

He's not here either.

[recitings]

[When he hears that, Genesis suddenly drops his tone to something fearful.]

Angeal. We need to find him.

[All the warning bells are sounding in his head!]

[mentors]

[And he takes his friend seriously, so there is no hesitation in his voice.]

Alright, meet me at the subway station near the house, I'll be there as soon as I can.

[recitings]

Alright. See you, there.

[And Genesis rushes off to meet him.]
