[ The voice is very soft, and slightly hesitant, far too much thinking going on behind it. Usually Ai is a rather boisterous message-sender but obviously not today. ]

Um, Genesis, I'm sure that you're probably... talking to other people about what was said on the network, and you know I had issues there, so I'm not sure there's any reason you'd want to... I mean, I didn't think I was probably the person you wanted to hear from.

[ There's a slight pause, and the sound of Aiichiro taking a drink before he speaks again. ]

I just wanted to let you know that I saw, and that if you did want something, or need something, or need to tell me something or need to do something... well, that I'm here. Or can be there, or wherever or however you need me. Or if you need me to wait, that's okay too.

... I'm all right, Aiichiro. Sephiroth and Zack were both part of my past. A large part of it, really. But that is what they are.

My present is here with you and Zexion. And I will be all right, knowing that I still have the both of you.

I know.

[ His voice is soft. ]

I didn't think that you'd go with them, at least... not for good like that, like how it sounded. I trust you more than that. I trust what we have more than that.

I just wanted to know if you needed anything, and to let you know if you did, it was all right.

I'm grateful for your trust. So very grateful.

[He smiles a little and thinks about what he could ask from Aiichiro.]

... would you spend a little more time with me at the office today?

... you can ask me that anytime you want, you know.

I'll be glad to spend more time with you, Genesis.

[ He pauses, because there are things he'd like to say or ask. But it's not so much that he's afraid as that he wonders if they're even really that important, in the long run. ]

As much time as you like, in the office and after, if you'd like.

Good.

[There's a sound of relief in Genesis' voice, genuinely glad that Aiichiro was willing to spend more time with him despite his grief.]

I don't think it'll be good if I was left alone with my thoughts.

Well, if you want to not think too hard, I'm always good for that, aren't I?

[ He pauses, replays that line in his head, then laughs. ]

I didn't really mean like that, just in general. I think I'm usually pretty good at distracting you. I might even make you be useful, if you like.

Oh? What do you mean by making me useful?

[And just like that, Genesis is distracted from the worries crowding his mind, curious to how Aiichiro was going to surprise him this time.]

There are lots of ways! I could ask you for business advice, for one! Or... I could bring some things with me and make you help me decide on new ways to put together my work wardrobe! Or I could make you taste snacks I'm making.

[ There's another one of those pause-and-giggle moments. It's not that Aiichiro isn't worried for Genesis, he is, but showing that isn't really going to help. ]

I mean, unless you meant the usual ways, but I figured if that was the kind of distracted you wanted, you could ask anyone for that.

[Genesis really can't help it. He adores this boy. He just makes him let go of his tension every time.]

I just want to spend time with you. Anything you want to do is fine, as long as I'm with you.

You should say that more often. I have a lot of amazing ideas for things I could do with you.

[ There's a teasing note to his voice, but it melts away in a second. ]
