[SC] Ten Years Ahead [Genesis + Clovis]

Even if the morrow is barren of promises
Nothing shall forestall my return
To become the dew that quenches the land

It had been about a year or so since Genesis disappeared with Vergil. Genesis couldn't tell. He had stopped watching the time since his Meister had gone away from him. With a mission ending in failure, he couldn't bring himself to return to Shibusen, seeing that it was a losing battle.

Yet, he did see Vergil while he roamed. And it was then he decided that it was time to see what he could do in the war once more.

He thought about who to see first there on the other side. He didn't want to see Date again just yet as it wasn't sure if he was really going to contribute to the battle on Shibusen's side once more. Near, to him, was a little more like a business partner than a trusted friend most of the time. Which... perhaps left only one person.

Clovis.

"For me... only me," Genesis' gaze softened as his other hand pressed against Clovis' back, leading him to rest against his bare chest. "Goddess, how have I been blessed to have such as you loving me."

He chuckled and shifted just a little.

"I'll need to eat a little more, though, so I can hold you stronger." Honestly, the soup wasn't enough. Genesis needed more meat in his system lest he lose his muscle. "But Goddess-- I can't take my hands off you, Clovis."

There was little to no resistance before he rested comfortably against Genesis once more. He let out a content sigh, wrapping his arms around him to cling onto the other once more. "You keep saying that you are blessed, but I'm the one that feels that way."

He did pull back to cover his face, then, embarrassed. "Oh, I hadn't been thinking. I can go and get something more for you." A pause, but he was able to keep himself staring at Genesis this time instead of looking away as before. "It's the same for me. I don't want you to stop touching me."

With a little smirk playing on his lips he drew in to brush his lips lightly over Clovis' neck. How could he resist such words.

"Then I promise I'll keep touching you-- I'll touch you all over again once I'm full."

Clovis tilted his neck up in order to give Genesis better access should he wish to continue. His tone of voice became just a little dreamier. "That is ... that was what I was hoping for when I mentioned later." A pause, realizing that he had said just a little too much. "I had said that I wanted to show you as much, but I suppose that telling you is good, too."

Clovis' newfound sexuality made Genesis feel his blood heat up in his veins. Why did his beloved have to be so distractingly beautiful? And perhaps... unwittingly sexy. He would have a terrible time trying to pull away from him now. He nipped at the other man's neck.

"You have no idea how much you telling me that makes me want you even more. I'm sure you'll drive me crazy once you show me what you say..."

"Bur first..." His arms had once more found their way around Genesis's neck, resting his head against the other's as his neck was adored. It took him a few seconds to regain his senses before he lightly pushed himself away. Focus, focus. "First, I need to bring you food. What would you like? I'll get it all this time.

"Ah." Once more his hands came to cover his face in embarrassment. This sounded like something that Bartley would say to him, trying too hard to please. It was the same sort of feeling though, wanting very much to please and ensure Genesis's happiness.

"Would you mind it if I went with you this time? I'd like to see what I could have-- although I am definitely in the mood for some meat," he hummed pleasantly as he pulled away from Clovis. He had to exert some self-control, too, after all.

"Yes, of course!" Lowering his hands from his face, he smiled brightly. It was a little sad to be apart from Genesis. Holding his chin, he wondered aloud. "Would you mind if I held your hand while we went? It's such a silly thing to ask, isn't it, but I am curious all the same."

At that, Genesis pressed a quick kiss to Clovis' forehead. "Of course. You can always hold it. I think I would like it, too." It felt good to be able to express such things so freely.

With that said, Genesis slid off the bed, still fully naked and moved around to pick up his clothes and get dressed. Walking around, he replayed the moments of the confession in his head-- their vows, the way he got Clovis to undress and how he himself did so before him. It made his cheeks warm.

"I believe I should buy more clothes, too. Unless you have anything to say about that," he chuckles.

Clovis picked up the tray to set it somewhere where it would not be in the way, before sitting back on the bed comfortably. His gaze did dip down to his hand as he already wanted to reach his hand out to hold the other's, but realized how silly that would be at that moment. He watched Genesis quietly, chewing lightly on his bottom lip.

"So it would be a complete outing for us, then?" His hands clapped lightly together once, then. Realizing the childishness of his action, his hands lowered back down to his lap instead. "It's ridiculous... how happy I am to spend any time with you. To be able to be with you in any way, despite being with you right now."

"Yes. Yes, it would be," Genesis smiled as he slipped his pants back on, quickly followed by his shirt. It always amused him how Clovis was so careful about his body language, even here in private with him. He couldn't quite believe how happy he felt at everything before him: being with Clovis, sharing his room, doing things with him... it was as if he belonged again. And this time, it was for good.

"You know... I have that same ridiculous feeling, too."

Really, he couldn't get over how to be in love with someone. Clovis had been thinking about it for so long since Genesis had been missing, thinking that he was dead. About all the things that he would've and should've done.

But, now they could do all of those things, and that simple knowledge left a very warm feeling to all those little regrets. That thought along with remembering how they had sealed their vows would ensure that he would be happy and content for a very long time. To constantly be surrounded in those feelings and never feel that same cold from that year, again.

"Do you?" Another smile. "Do you really?"

"Yes, I do. Really," Genesis smiled and held his hand out to his beloved.

"So, shall we go?"

Getting up off the bed, he took Genesis's offered hand. He paused briefly to stare down at their joined hands, and once more humored the idea of rings in his head, before looking back up at him.

"Yes, let's go."

And so they went. Genesis wasn't all too sure of where to go as he hadn't seen Shibusen in such a long time, but he let Clovis guide him to good places for food and perhaps shopping. After all, he was the one who designed the city in honor of Spirit.

After a hearty meal somewhere, Genesis decided to seek out clothes. Coming upon a shop that seemed to carry affordable yet dapper clothes, Genesis held Clovis' hand a little tighter, pulling him to him.

"Would you help me pick out clothes?"

Clovis enjoyed acting as a bit of a tour guide for Genesis. To show him what had become of Shibusen since he had been gone. He thought of taking him also by the mural that he had painted in honor of those that had been lost, but he remembered that his love's face was on it, and it would not do to show him such until his face and form was painted over.

Pulled in close to Genesis, he stared up at him in mild confusion. The confusion faded to amusement as his thoughts went to sewing the man a jacket those years ago. "Yes, I would love to do so." Something nice. Something to mark now living with them now.

"I thought to ask you because I remember that jacket you made me... how well it was made. Do you still make clothes until now?" He smiled, pulling his love with him into the store.

"I do, when I can." He laughed softly. Yes, he always tried to find times to get out all the worry and nervousness that would pile upon him from going out in the desert to get supplies and just the oppressive feeling that the war gave.

Yet, it was very odd that at this moment that he did not feel those sorts of worries. That it almost did not feel like they were in a war -- one that he was aware that they were losing. His head bowed slightly, but as he did so, he caught sight once more of their held hands and he regained his smile.

Genesis didn't want to think about it-- at least for now. He didn't want to put to mind this war that still had to be fought-- and that he needed to face his Meister once more, this time as enemies. Unconsciously, at that thought, he held Clovis' hand tighter.

"So, Clovis, what do you think would suit me?" He asked as they browsed around the shop.

Hm. Did Genesis sense his thoughts and was consoling him? His smile softened just a little bit as he paused by some bits of jewelery while walking with his love. Inexpensive and plain in the appearance, but he did halt all the same at the sight of the rings on display. His hand rose to lightly touch his chin as he stared at them.

"Huh?" Pulling his gaze away from them, he went through the question half-heard and responded easily. "Red, of course."

"I meant what style of..." He paused at the sight of his love before the rings on display. Indeed, they were rather simple-- but the matching bands looked like a good show of togetherness. Not that he knew of the custom of wearing wedding bands.

"Were you looking at them?" He gestured to the rings.

Clovis had looked up to Genesis there, looking somewhere between embarrassed and surprised that he was caught at what he was doing. There did seem to be very little point in hiding it, though. He nodded once. "Mmn, I was."

A soft laugh. "It seems silly, but I did want to get some."

Too adorable, Genesis thought as he went over to the other man and pressed a subtle kiss to his temple.

"I wouldn't mind wearing them. Would this... be a symbol, perhaps?"

"It would be." A brief moment of surprise. "You mean that you don't know it?" He wondered briefly how it was that people in Genesis' world carried out such things in marriage. Clovis resisted covering his face as he felt very ridiculous suddenly.

"Well, you wear it on this finger," He tapped lightly on his love's left ring finger. "It just means that you are ... you belong to someone."

"It will mean that I am yours," he gently corrected his beloved, his blue eyes looking over the bands on display. "If you deem it fit, then I wouldn't mind it if we bought them."

Genesis' hand reached out to Clovis', clutching it tenderly.
