[SC] Ten Years Ahead [Genesis + Clovis]
Even if the morrow is barren of promises
Nothing shall forestall my return
To become the dew that quenches the land
To spare the sands, the seas, the skies
I offer thee this silent sacrifice
It had been about a year or so since Genesis disappeared with Vergil. Genesis couldn't tell. He had stopped watching the time since his Meister had gone away from him. With a mission ending in failure, he couldn't bring himself to return to Shibusen, seeing that it was a losing battle.
Yet, he did see Vergil while he roamed. And it was then he decided that it was time to see what he could do in the war once more.
He thought about who to see first there on the other side. He didn't want to see Date again just yet as it wasn't sure if he was really going to contribute to the battle on Shibusen's side once more. Near, to him, was a little more like a business partner than a trusted friend most of the time. Which... perhaps left only one person.
Clovis.

Near, to him, was a little more like a business partner than a trusted friend most of the time. Which... perhaps left only one person.
Clovis.

He brought the fruit close to Clovis, offering it to him, not shy about sharing his meal with him now that they were promised to each other. It was a comforting thing-- the sense of ownership over the Prince, and the safety he felt in their commitment to each other. Finally, he felt sure of something. It was the best sanctuary after all the time he spent exposed to the Madness Wave.
Not even Genesis minded that Clovis chose to keep close to him rather than move to get them drinks. It could wait until later. Until then, he would enjoy this-- the sight of the prince, pooled in his lap, in his arms, perfectly like a golden kitten.
It brought a smile to his face. And he moved to brush a strand of hair from the younger man's face.
"Kitten."

Truly, he was certain that they were breathtaking (if his own noises of before were any indication) with one another and such an analogy suited his needs nicely. His dear Genesis being the artist and bringing about -- his face turned a little red as he was surprising himself with these sort of thoughts. Even if he had kept any and all thoughts of this nature locked away, he wondered if it was really all right to have them all slip out at once.
Taking the apple from Genesis, he stared at it for a moment. He thought of taking a bite off to the side rather than where his love had, but decided to continue on the same path that was taken by the other instead. An indirect sort of kiss, before it was handed back. Being held, being cherished, it was more than he could really hope for and wondered why he had not said any of this sooner. Kitten.
He smiled fondly at the endearment. "My dear knight." A pause, weighted. His lips pressed together and felt that he could not keep anything from the one that he promised himself to, the one who owns his heart. "I hope that you will not compare me to anyone else."

He let the fingers of one hand gently twine in the other's hair, fond-- so very fond. "You know, I actually liked it when you set your teeth on my skin. It's thrilling. I know the act isn't that romantic-- but I guess I could call it passionate. After all, you've left this on me. It's like marking me as yours."
And just as well, he did leave a few, small marks around Clovis' neck and shoulders.
"You're incomparable, Clovis." He pressed a kiss to his forehead. "How I feel with you-- I can't match with anyone else."
Of course, bed technique was a different area. But Genesis found it pointless to even compare. He couldn't even remember who was the last person he slept with before Clovis.

A childish notion, but one that he was clinging onto venomously. "It really has nothing to do with being a prince or anything as it does that ... I simply never saw myself as something lustful and do not wish for you to, either." The connotations of which were simply too troubling -- that he was only with Genesis for his looks or body. No, what he loved was his soul. And his own soul was already marked as Genesis's the moment that he was able to tell him all his feelings.
"Incomparable." He parroted, dumbly.
That brought insurmountable relief to him -- the kiss had helped as well. His hands came to rest on either side of Genesis's face so that he could draw him close for a kiss. Deeply, wanting to have even more of the taste of the apple shared with him.

Goddess...
He was very certain Clovis would drive him mad with the kind of affection he had for him-- it was almost as if they truly couldn't take their hands off from each other. And indeed, Genesis hands were doing just that, moving underneath Clovis' shirt, caressing the soft skin he remembered so well from their first coupling a few hours ago.
If he didn't break away soon, he supposed, they might forgo dinner once more in favor of other bodily delights. Yet-- no. Clovis didn't want to be seen as lustful. He wanted to be a romantic to the very end. Genesis was far too comfortable with the concept of lust to consider romance in his actions. But perhaps... perhaps he could sweeten them for Clovis-- endear every lustful gesture with a pinch of dream-like romance.

"I suppose my relief at being such to you allowed me to remember other issues." Still, he could not help but be a little embarrassed at its interruption. He let out an exasperated sigh this time, but realized that it was probably for the best. If he did continue as he was, he would simply stay in bed forever with Genesis. The war would have to do without them, and he laughed softly at the thought.
Realizing his laughter, he shared what it was that he was concerned with -- reaching to pick up some of the bread that he brought to satisfy his poor, neglected hunger. "I was merely thinking that I may not be able to leave this room if you are in it." He looked away as it sounded funnier in his head, but saying it aloud made him feel suddenly shy.

"Really now?" Genesis grinned as he leaned in to bite one end of the bread that Clovis picked up. "I don't see anything wrong with that... save that we do need to eat every once in a while."
no subject
"I see just a little harm in it as I have small duties that I have to carry out now." His laugh returned to the end of his words, lightly chiding Genesis for thinking it fine to -- he allowed his blush to spread. More shyness showing itself despite his wanting it to be. "Besides, I do not know what other sides of myself would begin to show if I were to take you up on such an offer."
no subject
"Hm? Other sides of yourself, Clovis?" There was a playful gleam in Genesis' eyes just then: "Looks like there's a lot of exploring for me to do."
no subject
"Eh?" The bread hung from his mouth before he took hold of it again a few seconds later when he turned to stare at Genesis. Surprised at what he had said. "But I ... I don't know what they are." Even if it was a joke, it was also the truth.
no subject
"We'll explore together. Both you and me. I'm certain that there are some parts of me I have yet to realize, too."
He reached over to the tray to pick up the other piece of bread for himself.

Realizing his silence would give the wrong impression, he turned to Genesis to explain. "I was just thinking on those different sides of myself. I suppose that I should want to share all of them with you." A beat. "No, I should. But I was wondering where to begin. Do I tell you of my thoughts?" His injured finger went into his mouth to lightly suck on while he waited for his love's reply.
no subject
"Although being friends for so long already, I believe there truly are things that only you will show to a beloved."
no subject
It was a terrible sort of reaction after the thought. Tears starting to fall. How many times would he cry over how happy he was? He didn't want to give the wrong impression, but it seemed like at the moment, it couldn't be helped. His head did lift a little as a thought came to him, leaning close he did have to ask. "You're right. There are only things that I want to show you." The smile stayed despite his crying. "Like the sort of weak and emotional creature that I still am."
no subject
"It's not that they bother me but... I honestly do wonder why... why do I make you feel so safe like this, when I have done nothing but violence in my own world."
no subject
His hands settled over his own heart then. "I feel safe because I know that you will protect me from those things that I'm afraid of. You'll protect me from my weaknesses and help me to be strong." He smiled softly, and laughed a little, even as he raised his hands to brush away a few tears that had slipped down his chin. "I feel feel safe because I love you. It's really that simple, I suppose."
A pause as he leaned forward to bump his forehead lightly against Genesis's. "So, don't go away. Don't leave me. I don't know what will become of me, if you do."
no subject
All this time, ever since he rose from his rest, Clovis' words to him were nothing but that of sheer love for him. All the more now, Genesis' heart beat loudly in his chest, wanting to keep the Prince close-- to grant him that protection that he believed only he could give. He brushed his lips against Clovis' forehead, over a tear's wet trail and finally against his lips with utmost tenderness.
"All these thing you believe of me... they surprise me. I've never been this loved in my entire life."
no subject
"Still, I'm happy to be the first to say it. I'm happy to be the first person to love you like this." He leaned forward a little to look at him, observe him a little more. I don't even want to forget. "In all honesty, I feel like I am on my honeymoon. The sort of feelings I think I would have at that time. I wonder if it is selfish of me to be this happy?"
no subject
"Would you feed me? If I had to feed myself, I would need to let go of you, which I wouldn't want to do."
no subject
His hands came to rest on either side of his own face, allowing for an expression of mock sorrow. "While feeding you is fine, I wonder how I will be able to carry on the day after this if I cannot have you holding me. I don't suppose that it will go very well for me, or you."

"And at night." He did ask, almost hesitantly, as he offered the spoonful of soup to Genesis. "Will this now be your room, too?"
no subject
As Clovis asked his question, though, Genesis couldn't help but feel a strange warmth come over him. Sharing a bed with Clovis at night-- a place where he finally belonged. He couldn't ask for anything more.
"Yes. Yes, it will be. I will live with you."
no subject
"Thank you." Clovis was surprised that he said as much aloud and elaborated. "Thank you for loving me back. I know that it seems silly to thank you for such, but I really do not know what to do with the feelings that I have." A brief pause. "At least until I am done."
