[SC] Ten Years Ahead [Genesis + Clovis]
Even if the morrow is barren of promises
Nothing shall forestall my return
To become the dew that quenches the land
To spare the sands, the seas, the skies
I offer thee this silent sacrifice
It had been about a year or so since Genesis disappeared with Vergil. Genesis couldn't tell. He had stopped watching the time since his Meister had gone away from him. With a mission ending in failure, he couldn't bring himself to return to Shibusen, seeing that it was a losing battle.
Yet, he did see Vergil while he roamed. And it was then he decided that it was time to see what he could do in the war once more.
He thought about who to see first there on the other side. He didn't want to see Date again just yet as it wasn't sure if he was really going to contribute to the battle on Shibusen's side once more. Near, to him, was a little more like a business partner than a trusted friend most of the time. Which... perhaps left only one person.
Clovis.

Near, to him, was a little more like a business partner than a trusted friend most of the time. Which... perhaps left only one person.
Clovis.

"The jacket was a little difficult to wear, I'm afraid. But, thank you." He smiled at the prince before him. It felt much better now that he was decent.

"I really do feel like I shamed you a bit," It was equally troubling how he kept looking up then away like some child that had been caught drawing on the walls or something equally silly, "and wish to know if there is any way I can properly apologize."

Well, watching a man blossom into maturity was better than watching trees, anyway.
"A kiss will suffice."

"I knew that one day my father would probably marry me off." It seemed like such a random statement, but he wanted to explain himself a little. "I was fine with that idea, because I would be helping Britannia as I would most likely be married for political and geographical gain."
His hands rose to touch either side of Genesis's face. "So, I couldn't love anyone without dismissing His Majesty, my title, and loyalty to Britannia." Even if he knew that he had died in his world, he couldn't betray his father. Clovis's gaze slipped to the side before he leaned in close to the other. "I confess all of this to you, because I really do love you. A kiss is so much more to me. And the one that you gave me before was..."
He really couldn't finish his sentence before he set himself forward to kiss Genesis, to halt his words. Something clumsy and sweet. Clovis wanted to confess all that he was to Genesis, because he felt like any second the man would disappear out of his sight. All the words that had piled up in that year had found their way of spilling out at the most awkward of times. And closed his eyes as he tried to deepen the kiss just a bit, unable to look at Genesis anymore as he did so.

Yet... how would Clovis ever grow to love him wanting certain opportunities? He had never known his friend to turn a lustful gaze at him. His mind was always caught in some bright, childish, assertive idea. And he adored him for his simplicity despite the way that most of the time, it was a little off the mark.
Gently, his arms closed around the younger man's waist, pulling him closer, supporting him lightly so they could be at a more even height. When he felt the other desire a deeper kiss, he gently obliged, feeling his heart race ever so slightly as he parted his lips lightly and nipped gently at the prince's bottom lip.
Perhaps. Maybe just this once, just for Clovis, he would make an exception for the way he viewed love.
"I love you."
He swore that his heart stopped its beating for a moment when he murmured the words against Clovis' lips.

Spirit was the one who was the first one to befriend me, someone so troublesome and selfish. His smile returned into the kiss. But Genesis was the first to see me at my weakest. There were only fond memories that he had with the other. It was all that he could think of during that year. How his heart hurt and not quite understanding the reasons until a sudden revelation toward the end of that painful time.
Unlike Spirit, I said all that I wanted to him, but I wasn't able to say it to you. All those thoughts and things that he could have said now felt like they would be lost. His arms came to tighten their hold around Genesis in turn. Heart feeling full and joyous at those words. "Thank you."

His hands moved to rest on the front of Genesis's shirt as the kiss deepened. Fingers tightening on the material as his eyes closed. It really was hard to do so -- close his eyes, because he was still somewhat frightened of the idea of it being an illusion. Some dream that he was having to ease the heart that he was now realizing was just a little broken over Genesis's disappearance.

Whatever Clovis needs, he can give. And it makes him think... it makes him remember how Clovis described what knights did in his world.

He felt his hands continue to twist the material of the man's shirt, remembering that it was his own, and feeling almost embarrassed by it. Embarrassed about how he was clinging to him so, but the warmth was calming and soothing, and helped to let him know that everything was real. It troubled him when the tears came, again; far more happy than they were sad. You're alive.

But when the feel of his tongue, Clovis did pull away, but not for the reasons of not wanting to continuing. "I'm sorry, Genesis. I'm taking advantage of you." His shoulders dropped considerably as he felt terrible for how selfish and clingy that he was being. "I'm taking advantage of your kindness and ... love ..." Careful word as though it were precious, because it was, before moving on. "... for me ... to let me just keep taking advantage of you. I'm sorry."
no subject
"All this time, I've been afraid that I was taking advantage of you."

A beat. "When you could very well just be here to rest and not to stay." His heart was hurting and burning and did feel like it was about to break to say as much to Genesis, to actually get confirmation of what he feared. "I'm forcing you to stay in order to appease my feelings for you." Oh dear, he was going to cry again if he kept speaking and turned his face away. If he did start, that would just make Genesis feel even more tied down to him.
"It's not fair and it's taking advantage of you ... manipulating you."
no subject
"You feel that my presence here was forced by you, Clovis?" Genesis chuckled, too amused by how the prince perceived the idea of 'taking advantage'. "You believe that by keeping me here you have manipulated and taken advantage of me? Ah, Clovis... beautiful Clovis."
Just to prove his point, his tone slipped a tone darker, a hint more dangerous. A hand curled around his hip, fingers pressing against the clothed flesh. And finally, his body pressed even closer-- so close they almost were on full contact with each other.
"Clovis... if I held no inkling of care or love for you, I would have done so much to truly take advantage of you." His breath brushed against the shell of an ear, before lips pressed against the soft flesh of a lobe, followed by the hard nip of white teeth.
"If I didn't love you, I wouldn't have stopped myself from taking you at all the opportunities I had... from the very moment you welcomed me into your room. I would have hurt you so badly... to do so much without an inkling of love for you."
no subject
His hands were about to press against Genesis's chest so that he could step away from him, to scold him more so that he would understand the situation. However, he got as far as loosening his hold on the front of his shirt before he was pulled in close -- the words and general dismissal of teasing lost. Clovis blinked a few times in surprise, letting out some noise that was neither approval or shock, but a mixture of the two as Genesis spoke, as his ear suddenly felt the center of the conversation.
"Hurt me?" The prince regained some of his senses as he moved just enough so that he could catch Genesis's eyes. "It is not in your nature to be overly cruel or vicious toward me, though." His hands finally moved away from the man's chest to grace either side of his face. Not understanding what it was that was being said to him, but thought that it was words of concerned about the madness that one felt outside of Shibusen. His fingers soothed over skin and hair, as his expression shifted to worry.
"Were you worried that you would kill me? But any sort of madness that you would have felt out in the desert is gone." His words loving and trusting, as always. "I know that you would never wish harm upon me, and so you need not worry or fear in that manner, either." Taking that form of 'advantage,' as he felt his shoulders slump, Clovis leaned in close to place a chaste kiss upon his lips.
"You really need not fear, Genesis." His smile soft, careful. "In my taking advantage of your kindness, I would be sure to keep you safe, as well."
no subject
"Clovis... I am not mad. I feel no madness. For once after months without it, I finally feel in control of my senses once again." he leaned in for a moment to brush his lips against the prince's in a tender, affectionate movement.
"Actually... I need to know... have you ever thought of lewd things before?" Genesis' voice was softer now, and his fingers were over Clovis' jaw, caressing the skin with his callous-roughened fingers. They needed to have this talk-- so they could understand each other.
"Answer my questions... and don't stray much from what I ask. You need to understand me."
no subject
His hands pulled back so that he could begin wringing them before fiddling with his clothes, straightening his cravat and other such wrinkles that he could see. Looking away, his head gave slight movements to seek either the left or right but not directly look at Genesis while he bit his lip. Things that he was not particularly aware that he was doing, but did help to calm his thinking. "Oh, no. I could never think in those terms."
It's not very princely to think on carnal desires. Certainly Schneizel would not do so. His face began to turn just a little more red, as he could not bring himself to change the subject or lie to Genesis; not after all that he said. "It just would upset someone, I'm sure." Like my father. All the concerns about what would happen if he angered His Majesty came back to him. It was fine to say that he loved and adored the other. To be willing to give up his loyalty to the crown in being with someone that his father had not chosen -- had not approved -- for him. But it was quite another to think of anything else.
"It just is not right for me."
no subject
"So... you've never truly felt a craving for physical affection, have you? I don't think you've let yourself have fantasies either," gently, he pulled Clovis towards him, leading them to sit upon the bed. He was sure this could be a long discussion.
"I've had far too many fantasies of that kind of contact... girls, boys... I've dreamed of them quite a few times. And you were one of mine-- my fantasies. I'm sure you've learned that already from what you saw a while ago."
no subject
His eyes widened just a little at that confession. He allowed his free hand to come up over his mouth to hide the manner in which his mouth had opened. Clovis was surprised that it was a 'were' that this was not a new development from his confession of before. The prince had been surprised about Genesis's physical state, but hadn't let himself think deeply into it. Lightly shaking his head, he finally let himself speak. "The farthest I've ever thought was a wish to see you naked."
Even after what he was told, what he understood it meant, he leaned close to Genesis. "Please, will you forgive me? It's why I ... I dragged my feet to leave when you first changed to sleep." The word were stilted as he could feel his blush deepening. Somehow, it seemed so much purer and innocent if it was the other's desires and wishes. If it came from him, it was no good at all.
no subject
"I dreamed of you naked," Genesis murmured in reply, his hold on Clovis' hand a little firmer. "I dreamed I could do so much to you... to make you feel good in a lewd way. Even until now, I wonder if we may ever get to do that, now that we've confessed to each other. But still, you don't seem to understand things from my point of view... why I believed that I was taking advantage of you."
He paused, lifting the hand to his lips to kiss soft fingertips. He felt his longing for Clovis surge up through his body once more, but he knew he had to control it-- he had to understand him first.
"How would you feel if I were to watch you undress?"
no subject
He looked down and away before feeling like saying that he would be willing to do anything for Genesis if he but asked him of it. Regardless if he was well-versed in it or not, he would do what he could for him. His heart felt full even though his embarrassment continued to spread across his face at the things that he did not know -- the things that he would not allow himself to know even after ten years. It was difficult to remove those neurotic and anxious thoughts that he had brewing for over twenty years, after all. While it was easy to remove his first mask to show the gentle person that his family knew, it was far more difficult to remove such feelings that he had.
"It really would only be fair since I saw you." His head gave a light shake as he realized that he was avoiding the question that was asked of him. "Embarrassed. It is why I always wore so many layers when I was younger. It's shameful of a prince to show too much skin. To be overly provocative in any manner."
A pause as he finally decided to say what his heart was begging for him to say. "But even so, I would do those things for you, if you wanted it of me. I love and trust you so much that to give everything of myself to you is really but a small feat. The largest came when I was able to tell you my feelings, or that is what I believe."
no subject
After all, Genesis was slowly making his way to baring every bit of Clovis. It was like a challenge: all these layers of clothing he wore were like all the layers of being-- of anxieties and neurosis which he had to break through in order to have the prince understand him.
How different Clovis was... so different from him who was far too comfortable with his own body to shield it the same way Clovis did with his.
no subject
Lowering his hand, he did realize how foolish that he was being. Someone his age being this silly about wanting to show himself to the person that he loved. His head gave a slight shake at his own behavior. "Of course. I was able to see you naked and able to see you while you slept. It doesn't seem fair that only I'm allowed those visions."
Reaching his hand out to touch the side of Genesis's face, he smiled softly. "Those sort of things you should show to the one that you love, right? I cannot say that I love you then not show you every part of myself. It would mean that I didn't really mean everything that I said."
no subject
Genesis swallowed. This was strange. He never felt such a tense atmosphere when it came to undressing another body. To him, often the process was quick, rushed, rough-- all lust and heat and hurry. Bright blue eyes kept their gaze fixed upon Clovis' eyes instead of the flesh he exposed with every button his fingers slid open. To some extend, this was almost ceremonial. It made Genesis laugh a little in his head-- why was he so serious about this? Why was he making such a large deal out of undressing someone. That laugh only manifested in a warm smile to assure Clovis-- his beloved.
Yes. That was it.
After fully unbuttoning his shirt, Genesis' fingers slid over Clovis' neck, caressing the soft skin with the pads of his fingertips, running a thumb tenderly over a pulse as he leaned in to brush his lips over it. He was fragrant-- roses in full bloom over a sweet, milky scent. There was a hint of woods there and a touch of musk, essential to any man, but over all, Clovis was all innocence and romance. It almost hurt Genesis to think he would sully it all so easily.
He pressed a kiss to his jaw. Then to his neck. Then to the hollow of his collarbone.
